well, the math says that according to the number of trips up the mt. with the shuttle vans we put around 1,000 people on the top of the mt. sat!
here are the only problems we had all day 1. 1 of the 2 porta-potties locked itself toward the end of day 2. the other one ran out of toilet paper at some point 3. we had too few volunteers so some of the volunteers were stretched to their limit energy-wise, but everyone was really cool about it and absolutely no one complained.
that was it!
i lost track of the number of people who told me they:
a) had never been to the top of the mt.
b) hadn't been up in decades
c) thought that this showed that stamford was moving in the right direction
i haven't heard one negative thing about the fest.
none of my worst-case-scenarios happened, and there were a lot!
the volunteers were incredible!
people who i thought had the longest most grueling assignments did it with a smile and asked to do it again next year!
thank you thank you thank you
to top things off, wreckloose, the band who played last, camped out, got up sunday morning and grabbed garbage bags and collected a lot of the garbage!
thank you to the sponsers, volunteers, bands and vendors, it could never have happened like it did without your help.
